I wanted to talk about how I feel about TNA. I will go through different points to make it easier on the eyes.
ROSTER
TNA has a very good roster right now but they always end up not using their TNA original talent. With the recent additions ofEzekiel Jackson and Gene Snitsky I'm afraid this will be another example of former WWE guys taking the spotlight of TNA made guys. Austin Aries is the only TNA made guy that seems to get attention. Every other top guy you can think of is a former WWE star.
You have Bobby Lashley (World Champion), Jeff Hardy, Bully Ray, M.V.P. With the world title, I think Kenny King should've gotten it (someone who's been in TNA for years) instead of Lashley (who's been in TNA a total of like almost 2 years). You can't be different than WWE if you make their talent the top dogs in your company. I don't mean that those people shouldn't get success in TNA, I'm just saying that they should pay a little more attention to TNA made guys.
STORYLINES
Storylines have been pretty good lately. Right now we have a Rhoode/M.V.P feud. It was going pretty well until this past thursday whenRhoode beat M.V.P in a short one-sided match. That doesn't exactly make M.V.P seem like a threat, in my opinion.
Another storyline is Bully Ray/Dixie Carter feud. I really like this storyline and I'm glad they are taking their time with it. What I don't get is them bringing in Tommy Dreamer, Rhyno, Devon,King Mo (who showed up on Thursday), Ezekiel Jackson, & Snitsky. I don't know why they needed to be added, they just seem pointless although it's nice to see these guys back in action.
MATCHES
Lately the matches is the only thing that bothers me. The quality is not the problem (which as been good) it's the fact that they're so short yet they have so few matches. They take shots at WWE about talking even though TNA does it way more. It also doesn't help seeing M.V.P every 5 minutes.
With Destination X next week, I hope they at least give the matches time to tell a story.
I also don't see how you can show off your younger talents if you only give them 6-8 minute matches. Two weeks ago they had a good amount of matches but this week they dropped down to very few matches... again.
QUALITY
These past few weeks have already been better than last year and early this year. They were in a slump for a while and they've picked up. All these people returning as helped too. These past few weeks do not make up for how this year started for them.
Overall this year has been pretty crappy for TNA. It does seem like they are about to turn around, though. I hope they do because it's nice having options. I feel that if they don't pick it up... they might be gone sooner than later.
This is all I can think of that I can talk about right now. Also, don't be surprised if I make one of these about WWE soon.
