RWF Battleground Ep 1
*All promos are exactly as given to me, I believe. I did not fix the layout or correct any grammar for anybody. What you see is what you gave.
*The camera starts out with Amy Lavender in the ring with a microphone*
Amy Lavender: Tonight marks a new era of professional wrestling. Tonight, for the first time ever, you will be able to enjoy Ring War Federation live! You will see championships being fought for. You will see brutality. You will see ladders. You will see it all! For the first match, we have one rising star and one star that we all know. First, let's hear from an SWF original. A former UFW star. A current RWF hero. Let's take it backstage to ati "The Hero" who will be taking on Scotty Hernandez in the first match of the night!
*The camera goes backstage to ati "The Hero."*
I never wanted to be the bad guy. But i always ended up to be it. I was used for a stepping stone, by a guy who quit the company, not long after. I come from a country, no one know even know exists. And no offense, Scotty, but i will not be a stepping stone again.
You want to tell sad stories? Okay, let's talk.
I come from a country, where you have to be happy if you get paid for work. I come from a country, where you need to be afraid of everyone, and everything, because you never know who might be crazy. Yes, it's not as dramatic as yours. And what? What's worse, knowing that you are too little, and powerless to help on the matter, or know that you could help, but no-one listens? In my country, you're the people and the things that happened to you are the government.
I'm here to help my country. And no-one can stop me in doing so. You may defeat me once, but you can't defeat me twice.
I'm here to be a legend, i'm here for the money, but i'm here especially, to entertain people.
I don't care if the people doesn't even need to like me, i'm here to save them. And from what? From the people that blind them with lies, saying that they are better than everyone. These are the people that has been put on pedestals, by the fans.
None is better than the fans. No wrestler would be as good, without their fans. But these a******s think that they're better than anyone, and everyone.
Anyways, Why will i defeat you? It's simple. I have more in-ring experience, than you. I was in the indies for years, then in SWF, and in UFW. Where did you wrestle until now? I have more experience, and bigger cause to become a champion. That isn't an instant win, but it sure helps a lot.
And remember, "When people put worthless men on pedestals, the hero will come. But it will end, with the Killer".
I have the power of ten heroes, i have become the Hero Reborn.
My cause, as i said, is to save my country. But until i can do that, i will save America's people. And to do that, the killer will have to come...
*Amy's the center of attention again.*
Amy Lavender: Ladies and gentlemen, that was ati "The Hero!" However, what does his opponent have to say about the situation? Why don't we hear what he has to say?
*Scotty Hernandez is shown backstage*
Before you ask, I'm not that guy. I'm not the guy that set UFW on fire & walked out vowing not to return. But, I do know that guy...
It all started October 9th, 1988. It had been about three months since my father left my pregnant & incompetent mother. That's right, I had a deadbeat dad, but my mother was no better. My mother was the type of person that would have aborted my brother & I had there been a free clinic anywhere near Saint Petersburg. On the 9th, my twin brother & I were born. My nonchalant mother decided that she'd just take the first name of the doctor & name both of her children that name: Scott.
It wasn't but about a month or so that social services removed my infant brother & I from our mother & placed us in a foster home. We stayed together at the home for about seven years, then my world was turned upside down. When my brother & I were first brought to the home, the owners of the place decided that having two children of the same name was going to get confusing, so they added a "Y' to the end of my name.
I guess Scott is a much more appealing name than Scotty because one day a nice young couple came to the home looking to adopt a young child or two. They decided to take my brother & to leave me. I spent five more years in that place, until, at the age of thirteen, an old couple that never had the joy of having a child decided to adopt me.
Just when it seemed that everything was starting to look up for me, the elders' health began to deteriorate. They both died not even a month after adopting me. I was sent back to the foster home where I stayed until they kicked me out on my eighteenth birthday, as then I was legally an adult. I was homeless for a few weeks until a nice woman took me in. She told me that I could stay with her until I got back on my feet, little did she know that I had never been on my feet in the first place.
Enough with the sad story, I do have a point with all of this, after all.
Before my adopted elderly mother passed, she told me something that has always stuck with me & gotten me through the toughest of times: "Scotty, don't let anyone tell you that you can't. You, my son, can do anything you put your mind to."
Since I was very young, I dreamed of being a professional wrestler. I knew that I needed to get trained if I wanted to be successful, so after I moved out of the kind woman's place, I looked for a wrestling school that I could attend. With no money to pay for lessons, I had to find many dead-end jobs to work so that I could make my dream a reality.
When I was finally ready to wrestle for a major promotion, I reached out to UFW owner Jason Harrison-Matthews, who thought that I was part of a prank that someone on the UFW roster was trying to pull, because my name is almost exactly the same as my brother's. I then reached out to FWL owner IDK, whom turned me down because he didn't want a relative of someone that insulted him working in FWL. Finally, though, someone came to me. A man by the name of Sid contacted me about joining a new wrestling promotion called RWF. I gladly accepted & here I am. I am but the lesser equivalent to my brother, but that will soon change. Everything will change.
Soon everyone will remember, beginning with you ati, it's not just Scott with a "Y".
*Amy is now down at the commentary table.*
Amy Lavender: Holy crap, this is going to be a great matchup! Now, in order to get the show started, I'm here to tell everybody to enjoy the show and to wish each Supreme and Vixxen here tonight the best of luck in their matchups. I'm now going to hand the microphone over to a very special guest here tonight. He will be joining me weekly out here at the commentary table. He is a former FWL 2k Champion and retired early due to a neck injury. Please welcome, Bane The Destroyer!
*Bane's music () plays as he makes his grand entrance. The audience is booing and cheering at the same time. One thing's for certain though, they're energetic.
Bane The Destroyer: Thank you very much, Amy. Tonight should be a great night. What do you say we get the show on the road and let ati and Scotty come out here and prove themselves already?
Amy Lavender: That's exactly what's going to happen. Let them out here!
*Amy sets down her microphone, sits down on the commentator chair and puts on her headset*
Scotty Hernandez vs. ati “The Hero”
* "Driven" by Sevendust hits and ati “The Hero” makes his way out to enormous boos. ati just smirks at the reaction and walks towards the ring. The crowd chants “USA! USA! USA!” as ati stands in the middle of the ring. The red ring pyro goes off and ati looks on. *
* Scotty Hernandez makes his way out to "Just One Yesterday" By Fall Out Boy Feat. The Foxes. Scotty is booed as well, but it looks like he doesn’t care what the crowd thinks. A part of the crowd chants “USA” either in support of Scotty or to make fun of ati. *
As soon as the match starts, ati quickly goes for a lock up. He transitions into a waistlock. ati tries to lift him for a German Suplex, but Scotty uses his power to firmly stand his ground. Scotty does few back elbows to ati’s head to loosen the hold. Scotty grabs ati’s arm and transitions into a wrist lock. He kicks him in the gut and goes for a suplex, but ati blocks it. ati goes for a suplex of his own, which is again blocked by Scotty. Scotty knees him in the gut a few times to weaken him, after which he delivers a couple of back-to-back suplexes.
Scotty goes for the pin but only gets a two count. He mounts on top of ati and starts hammering him with punches. He lets go, as the ref starts the count. He picks ati up and whips him towards the ropes, but ati hits a huge clothesline on his rebound, taking Scotty down. ati mounts on top of Scotty now, and returns the favour by hammering with punches of his own. He gets up and taunts the crowd. The crowd boos in response and chants “USA!” ati just smirks and goes to pick up Scotty, who surprises him with a Small Package pin. ati manages to escape right before 3. Scotty gets up, but ati dropkicks him; sending him to the floor.
Scotty gets up holding the barricade. ati rebounds off the ropes and does for a Suicide Dive, but Scotty hits him with an European Uppercut in mid-air! Scotty picks ati up and throws him back first onto the barricade. The fans cheer, but Scotty taunts them which results in those cheers to turn into boos. Scotty picks ati up and drives him into the ring apron. He rolls him into the ring and goes for the pin, but ati barely manages to get his shoulder up before the count of three.
Scotty is surprised and argues with the referee. He waits in the corner for ati to get up. ati gets up slowly and Scotty goes for his Signature “Discus Clothesline”, but ati hits him with his Signature “X-Mark (Superkick)” out of nowhere!!! Scotty is out cold and ati drops on top of him for the pin, but Scotty somehow manages to kick out right before 3.
Both men don’t want to give up, as the stakes are high. ati drags himself to the corner and climbs to the top rope. ati dives off for his Finisher “Dead End (Swanton Bomb)”, but Scotty rolls out of the way and ati falls with a thud! Scotty picks ati up and drops him with a Turnbuckle Powerbomb. As ati stumbles out of the corner, Scotty rebounds off the ropes and hits the “Discus Clothesline”!!! He drops down and places his arm over ati’s body for the pin. He gets the pin and the win!
WINNER by PINFALL - Scotty Hernandez!
Amy Lavender: What a way to kick off the show, Bane! This was a fantastic beginning for RWF!
Bane The Destroyer: I actually can't agree more. As a former competitor myself, I have nothing but respect for the people that actually go out there and try their hardest, even if I don't like them. Both Scotty Hernandez and ati "The Hero" proved themselves worthy tonight. However, in the end there must be a winner and Scotty was the winner tonight.
Amy Lavender: I actually have a bit of an Urban Legend, if you will, that I would like you to answer. Is it true that you're the one that actually got ati to join the sport of professional wrestling?
Bane The Destroyer: Not to cut the story short, but yes it's true. However, I believe the competitors for the next match are about ready to come out. Let's hear what they had to say.
Amy Lavender: Well, that settles that Legend, but like you said, we have a show to continue. Let's head backstage to a member of the Garcia family. Here in RWF, we're actually fortunate enough to have not one, but two members of the legendary Garcia family! We will see Jessica later on, but for right now, here is an earlier look at Jacob Garcia with his thoughts on his match tonight!
*Some statistics appears on the titantron*
The number of wrestlers who currently measures 6 feet 11 inches or higher in WWE: 3
The number of Canadian WWE Champions: 5
The number of Canadian WWE Champions that measured 6 feet 11 inches or higher: 0
*End of statistics*
*Camera then goes to Jacob sitting in the middle of the ring*
Jacob: Crusher, Crusher, Crusher, I hope your listening right now and looking at these statistics. I know this may not be WWE, but these statistics can be seen all throughout the wrestling circuit. Crusher, you have two negatives against you going into this match. You’re Canadian and you’re over 6 feet 10 inches. Let me ask you a question, Is Kane, Big Show, or The Great Khali relevant right now? I’ll answer that for you, NO! Just take a look at the titantron again.
*More statistics appears on the titantron, Jacob reads each of them aloud.*
The Great Khali, former World Champion, now he is busy being WWE’s laughing stock, he is also considered one of the worst wrestlers ever. Not Relevant.
Big Show, another former World Champion, now he can be seen working WWE’s dark matches. Not Relevant.
Kane, once again, a former World Champion, he can now be seen competing in WWE World Heavyweight Championship matches only losing every time he gets a shot at the title. Not Relevant.
Crusher, the tallest man on the RWF Roster, he can be seen competing on the Main Event of the first ever RWF Battleground, but just like the rest of WWE’s Big Men, he will fall short to a man just a little bit shorter than him. This man name is Jacob Garcia!
*End of statistics*
*Laughs*
Bane The Destroyer: It looks like Jacob's excited for his match here tonight! However, since that was earlier in the night, I can't help but wonder if he has become nervous since then.
Amy Lavender: Well, of course he is. This could be his breakthrough moment. Making it into RWF was an accomplishment of its own since we chose the best we could find. Surviving here though will be the test that Garcia will have to go through. He proved he could make it here, now he has to prove he can survive here.
Bane The Destroyer: You have no idea how many people I've seen join the sport and make it to the grand stage, only to find out that they were not ready. I'm hoping Garcia's not just name that we all know. I hope he can prove himself.
Amy Lavender: As do we all. Now it's time to hear from his opponent, The Northern Crusher! Let's take it backstage.
The arena go's dark, a long silence follows before the monitors come on showing a dark, destroyed room. Smashed walls, destroyed tables, and various other such destruction can be seen.
"At one time, this place I called home."
A man walked though the dirt and debris. It was clear nobody had lived here for years, the camera followed the man through the rooms as he walked along. A lone dust covered picture sits over the fireplace. The man pick it up wiping away the dust, he takes a long look then smashes the frame, taking the paper picture in his hand.
"They said something was wrong with me. That I took to much pleasure in the pain of others. They was right."
The man tore the photo which consisted of 3 people, the part he tore off he pocketed. The other 2 we see as a old man and old women.
"They was afraid of me. They shunned me away, abandoned me to die, like a rapid dog. They failed, I survived, I picked up a job in the hills trucking logs. I build a home, a simple bare shack. I lived by myself, hand creating as much as possible, killing as much of my own food as possible. I only used money to buy a few tools, guns and ammo, and fuel. After some years though the mill closed down, the wildlife moved away and my shack had to be abandoned. I had nowhere to go, no future to live. I took my truck on one final ride."
We follow around to the back of the house where we see the remains of where a semi had crashed though the house, broken though the wooden floor and ended up in the basement. The match ripped the part of the photo in half, tossing it into the whole. It's clear now why nobody had lived here in years.
"Such a tragic "accident". Only 2 people survived, myself and..."
The man took out the part of the photo he pocketed.
"You think you could find my home, take credit for all I build? You are just a poser. I will show you how one truly takes the wrestling biz by storm."
He lays the photo down showing a young Canadian Destroyer.
"Jacob Garcia, you are my first opponent in RWF. That is a bad position for you to be in, for when I set a goal, I will go any length to see it achieved. If you are pitted against me, it means you are in my way. A wise man said it's better to retreat, to live and fight another day. I strongly suggest you not show your face at RWF. Stay out of the building, the city, the country. If not, be prepared to be my first victim."
The monitor go's to black again and the words "he's coming" shows in red, followed by "The Northern Crusher".
Bane The Destroyer: Judging by their attitudes, these two men do not mess around. With a known name like Garcia and the cockiness of the Crusher, I don't even have a guess as to who's going to win. The egos of both men seem high, but that can always be a good or a bad thing depending on how you use it.
Amy Lavender: Well let's introduce the two competitors now.
Jacob Garcia vs. Northern Crusher - Tournament Match
The Garcias Theme plays and out comes Jessica Garcia and Jacob Garcia with a mic in hand and the crowd boos. She starts speaking in Spanish “¡Prepárate para ser honrado por la presencia de los García! Ahora cállate y ponte de pies sucios, como mi hermano Jacob Miguel Del José Fernando Gar---”, which translates to
Jacob goes rolling down the ramp as Crusher follows with a wicked smile. Jessica runs towards her brother, but Crusher steps in the way and she stops. Crusher turns and picks Jacob up. He throws him hard onto the barricade. Jacob slowly gets up using the barricade for leverage, but Crusher hits a Big Boot, sending him into the crowd. Crusher just yanks him out of the crowd area and back to ringside. He rolls him inside the ring. He looks at the ramp and calls for the referee to come out. Crusher enters the ring and waits as the referee runs towards the ring.
Crusher asks for the match to be started but the referee hesitates. The referee goes towards Jacob and asks him whether he would continue with the scheduled match. Jacob nods in approval. Crusher quickly goes towards him and starts kicking him like there’s no tomorrow! He goes for the pin, but surprisingly Jacob kicks out right before the third count!
Crusher backs off and taunts the crowd and they boo in response. Jacob gets to his feet slowly holding the ropes, but Crusher hits another Big Boot to the side of his head. Jacob drops to his knees off the impact, now holding the middle rope. Crusher walks towards him and repeatedly knees him in the side of his head. He picks him up and does a Delayed Vertigo Suplex.
Crusher waits in the corner for Jacob to get up. When Jacob does get up, Crusher flattens him with his Finisher “Spear”! He gets the pin and the win. Crusher advances to the Semi-Finals of the tournament, with a win over Jacob, which wouldn’t have come so easy had he not attacked Jacob before the match.
WINNER by PINFALL - Norther Crusher!

I’m from one of wrestling’s most respected families, THE GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA'SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! My father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather have all become World Champions. I’m also Latino. Latinos in the wrestling industry have been very successful. One of my Latino wrestling heroes, Pedro Morales, became the 4th WWE Champion in history. He held the title for more than 1,200 days. He is 5th on the list of total combined days of holding the championship in history. That all happened because he was a Latino. I plan on being world champion longer than him.
On the Main Event of RWF Battleground, we will compete in a Three Stages of Hell Match. Winner moves on in the World Championship tournament. The loser will lose their shot at becoming the first ever RWF World Champion. I have never been a loser. I have always WON! Anytime the odds are stacked against me, I always find a way to WIN! This company is not about size or weight, this company is about looks and will power. I definitely have the look, and I definitely have the will power to WIN! On paper, you have the advantage, Crusher. In the ring, you’ll notice that I have the advantage. My family has taught me everything I know. I know what it takes to become World Champion, and I know how to defeat a DISGUSTING, OVERWEIGHT, CANADIAN GIANT, such as YOURSELF!
So, at Battleground, I will walk into this match with all odds stacked up against me and I walk out going into the second round of this tournament. Crusher, prepare to get your GIGANTIC KICKED!
My name is, JACOB GARCIA, and I'm the NEXT RWF Supreme Champion!

Ahora cállate y ponte de pies sucios, como mi hermano Jacob Miguel Del José Fernando Gar---”, which translates to
“Get ready to be graced by the presence of the Garcias! Now shut up and get on your dirty feet, as my brother Jacob Miguel Del Jose Fernando Gar---”
, but is interrupted as Northern Crusher takes out Jacob from behind with a sickening Big Boot!Jacob goes rolling down the ramp as Crusher follows with a wicked smile.
